Considering the huge opportunities in Nigeria, the most populous black nation with vast wealth in natural resources and cultures, we seek to engage a Business & Financial Analyst/Adviser, who will work hand in hand with our visionary, to take our business to the next level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Key objectives of the job include but are not limited to the following: -
1. To track, monitor and analyze business performance, make operational and financial recommendations for
improved business efficiencies and profitability to the Chairman.
2. To set goals for the CEO’s for the different business units within the group and periodically review their
performance.
3. To coordinate the group’s Investment portfolio and research on new business opportunities for expansion
4. Source funding for expansion projects
5. Act as Brand Manager for the Group which operates in both Hospitality and ICT in addition to researching and accessing available grants from different bodies for the Group
6. Act as an advisor for general investments and negotiate for new opportunities
7. Represent the business and the Chairman on social outings
8. Support business drivers in top level recruitment and drawing up the Group’s budgets
9. Provide leadership to all business units to install team oriented, client oriented and results driven team
10. Collaborate with all business units to achieve strategic, tactical and project goals
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education & Training
- Degree in Finance/Accounting/Statistics/Economics
- MBA or equivalent
- Computer trained/literate with strong Excel/spreadsheets, MS Word &
- PowerPoint abilities
- Knowledge of use of statistical software an added advantage
- Professional qualification such as CFA/ACCA/CPA/CIPFA/CIMA/ICAN/etc
- A minimum of 10 years experience a t a senior management level in Finance with at least 5 of those years in Corporate Financing
- Experience in dealing with PR, Marketing and the Media essential
i) Solid understanding of statistics, economics, tax laws, money markets, etc
ii) Knowledge of business and its related skills i.e. strategic planning, business methodologies and innovative business improvements, etc
iii) Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures, corporate budgeting and financial analysis methods
iv) Strong in options pricing, bond valuations and risk management
v) Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
vi) Good comprehension skills and understanding of various business functions and requirements and user perspectives with ability to suggest effective solutions
